Iceland is a Nordic island state whose spectacular landscape is characterized by volcanoes, geysers, thermal springs and lava fields. Protected areas for the huge glaciers are Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull National Park. A large part of the population lives in the capital Reykjavik, which is largely powered by geothermal energy and is home to, among other things, the National Museum and the Saga Museum, which deals with Iceland's Viking history. ― Google
